# What is Whinge?

Whinge records your screen, microphone and drawings while you talk through a problem. It saves a
local folder with the live transcript and selected screenshots. Other tools can read that folder
later; Whinge does not run project instructions or process it automatically.

## How a whinge goes

1. **Start one.** Choose **Start Whinge** from the menu bar, run `whinge start`, or open
   `whinge://start`. Another app can use either interface.
2. **Start recording.** Say an enabled start phrase or press Record on the toolbar.
3. **Talk and draw.** Clear the ink between points to mark topics and capture screenshots.
4. **Stop.** Whinge saves in **Documents/Whinges** by default, or a folder chosen in Settings or
   with `whinge start --output DIR`.
